Im from Hanoi, been living here all my life. In 27 years, so much had changed. Back when i was little, having imported goods is seen as Upper Class, now everyone has it. Cars used to be a status symbol, now it's a nuisance. Even quality white rice, which used to be luxury food, is now the standard. Im thankful for what my nation been through and had what it had achieve. With that in mind, the growth is not without its "Growing Pain". Since we grow so fast, older generation is have a hard grasp of what the society have become. It took me years to explain to my family what exactly what my job is and why i can earn money on a computer all day. Growing Fast also left a big mark on the enviroment. Inner cities are both highly polluted and too high-cost for blue collar workers to live or to grow a family. School intuition keep scaling higher and higher ,despite the efforts to ban extra curriculums. Vietnam dont have oligarchs like Korea or Japan, as can see with Truong My Lan case. I hope my country can rise in unity, it is the Cheap work force that attract investors and so it is the worker lives need to be improved

A chaebol (UK: /ˈtʃeɪbəl, ˈtʃeɪbɒl/ CHAY-bəl, CHAY-bol, US: /ˈtʃeɪboʊl, ˈdʒɛbəl/ CHAY-bohl, JEB-əl; Korean: 재벌 [tɕɛbʌɭ] ⓘ, lit. 'rich family' or 'financial clique') is a large industrial South Korean conglomerate run and controlled by an individual or family. A chaebol often consists of multiple diversified affiliates, controlled by a person or group. Several dozen large South Korean family-controlled corporate groups fall under this definition. The term first appeared in English text in 1972. Chaebol have also played a significant role in South Korean politics. In 1988, a member of a chaebol family, Chung Mong-joon, president of Hyundai Heavy Industries, successfully ran for the National Assembly of South Korea. Other business leaders were also chosen to be members of the National Assembly through proportional representation. Hyundai has made efforts in the thawing of North Korean relations, despite some controversy. Many South Korean family-run chaebol have been criticised for low dividend payouts and other governance practices that favor controlling shareholders at the expense of ordinary investors.
